What are Allacan Cetirizine Tablets?

This is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching. It works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction.

How does an antihistamine work?

An antihistamine works by suppressing histamine, a natural substance that is released when coming into contact with a substance that causes an allergy. An allergy occurs when the body comes into contact with something when it thinks is a threat when it is not. As a result, the immune system forms a defence which includes releasing histamine. Histamine is the cause of many symptoms associated with an allergy.
